1. The service

Battiinnovate shortens a destination URL you supply into a short link on a domain we control, and reports clicks on that link. We provide the service on an as-is basis and may change, suspend or withdraw features with reasonable notice.

2. Accounts

You must be 16 or older to hold an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and API tokens secure, and for all activity carried out with them. Notify us at hello@btti.uk immediately if you believe an account has been compromised.

One person or organisation may not hold multiple free accounts in order to exceed the free-plan quota or to avoid advertising.

3. Acceptable use

You may not create a link that resolves, directly or after redirection, to content which:

• is unlawful in the United Kingdom, or infringes another person’s rights;
• contains malware, cryptominers, exploit kits or unsolicited downloads;
• impersonates a bank, government body, courier or other organisation, or is otherwise used for phishing;
• is child sexual abuse material, or promotes terrorism or violence;
• is distributed by unsolicited bulk email, SMS or messaging (spam);
• is used to disguise a destination in order to evade a platform’s moderation.

We also prohibit using the service for load generation, automated redirect chains longer than three hops, and scraping the analytics interface.

4. Enforcement

We screen destinations at creation and periodically thereafter. Where a link breaches section 3 we may disable it, suspend the account and retain associated records. Serious cases are reported to the relevant authority, including the Internet Watch Foundation and the National Crime Agency where applicable. Anyone may report a link to abuse@btti.uk; we act on credible reports within one working day.

5. Fees, VAT and cancellation

The ad-free plan is billed monthly in advance in pounds sterling, exclusive of VAT, which is added at the prevailing UK rate where applicable. Prices may change with 30 days’ notice, effective at your next renewal.

You may cancel at any time from the dashboard; the plan runs to the end of the paid period and is not refunded pro rata. Consumers in the UK have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, which is lost once you begin using the paid features.

6. Advertising on free links

Links created on the free plan display advertising as described on our ad formats page, and you grant us the right to serve it. The ad-free plan removes advertising from every link on the account for as long as the subscription is active; if it lapses, advertising resumes.

7. Availability and link permanence

We target 99.9% monthly availability of the redirect service. Links on the ad-free plan remain active while the account is in good standing, and for 90 days after cancellation. Free links expire after 12 months without a click. We do not guarantee permanence and recommend you keep your own record of destinations.

8. Intellectual property

You retain all rights in your destinations and content. We retain all rights in the service, its software, the Battiinnovate name and our domains. You may not resell the service or present it as your own without a written reseller agreement.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in that period and £100. We are not responsible for the content of destinations, which belongs to the person who created the link.

10. Indemnity

You will indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your links, your content, or your breach of section 3.

11. Termination

Either party may end this agreement at any time. We may terminate immediately for a breach of section 3, non-payment after 14 days’ notice, or where required by law. On termination your links stop resolving and your data is deleted on the schedule in our privacy policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We will give at least 14 days’ notice of material changes by email or in the dashboard. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new version. Superseded versions are available on request.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
